Sakura, Night Sakura, Autumn Leaves: Ozekiyama Park, a popular place for colorful photos.
Ozekiyama Park is a popular place to view the blossoming of Sakura trees in spring and the colorful autumn leaves of fall.
During the fall and spring seasons the park is lit up at night so that you can enjoy the difference between day and night viewings.
At the summit of the park is an observatory where you can get a view of the surrounding city. It is said this observatory is in the same place the first ruler of the Miyoshi-Asano domain, Nagaharu Asano, would come to enjoy astronomy observation.
Other sites in the park include: the [Hatsumoukaku Ruins (Old observatory ruins), ’christian’ lanterns (traditional Japanese stone pedestal lanterns featuring christian symbols), and a statue of Asano Nagaharu’s third daughter, Princess Aguri.
