Here on Miyoshicho’s Dasai street is the Himikokura property which was renovated from what was previously Masunoi Sake Brewery. It now houses the restaurant Mansabou, the guest house Aoneko and the rental space Akaneko. The large storehouse and chimneys built in the Meiji era are registered as tangible cultural landmarks.
It’s a popular spot that naturally attracts interesting people, it has a rich history of live events and gatherings that have been held in the space for more than 10 years as a warehouse project.
You can also clearly see Mt. Higuma from the property which was featured in the Inou Mononoke Roku stories. It’s the only spot where you can get a good view of the entire mountain, a view that has been dubbed the “Lots o’ mountain” view. On the second sunday of every month a cosplay event is held from 10 am to 6 pm called, “Gathering of People Who Want to Shoot and be Shot.”
